Trade fairs in the Netherlands
Transport to Dutch fairs with no customs for EU goods. The booking slot and delivery in the build-up window to RAI Amsterdam, Jaarbeurs or Ahoy Rotterdam are what matter.
How do we carry to fairs in the Netherlands?
To Dutch fairs in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam or s-Hertogenbosch we carry with no customs for EU goods. We watch the booking slot, the build-up window and the drive to the hall, for example RAI Amsterdam. A non-EU exhibit is declared separately for customs.

Main fair venues
These are the most common venues on this lane, not a full list. We carry stands and goods to every fair in this country, including smaller and trade-specific ones.
Trade fair stand logistics in the Netherlands
The Netherlands is one of the closest trade fair destinations and logistically one of the most convenient: the country sits inside the European Union and the customs union, so EU goods travel without customs clearance, a dense motorway network keeps transit short, and freight reaches the hall quickly and predictably. That apparent ease has a flip side. Delivery windows at exhibition venues are strict, and halls such as RAI Amsterdam, Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, Ahoy Rotterdam and Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch take in dozens of companies within the same build-up window. Without booked delivery slots and a schedule held firmly, even a short route ends with a truck waiting in line while the build crew stands idle.
OTSL runs the full stand logistics from the loading dock to dismantling. We deliver the stand construction and exhibits with a booked delivery slot aligned to the venue rules, so unloading lands exactly in the assigned window and the build starts on time. Our build crews assemble the stand on site, and once the fair opens we store the empty packaging and crates so they do not take up space in the hall. When the event closes we come back after dismantling and take the construction and exhibits on the return leg. One team owns every stage, so you always know where the freight is and who is handling it. Planning a fair in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam or 's-Hertogenbosch? Get in touch and we will arrange transport and assembly around your event dates.
Fair transport, step by step
-
01
Enquiry and dates
We gather the fair date, the venue, the build-up windows and the unloading slot, plus the list of goods and required documents.
-
02
ATA carnet and customs
For non-EU lanes we prepare the ATA carnet for temporary export of the stand and the customs clearance.
-
03
Plan around venue rules
We plan the transport around the hall rules: booking-in, entry slots and the build-up window, so nothing waits at the gate.
-
04
Collection and transport
We collect the stand and goods and carry them to the venue, with a warehouse buffer if needed.
-
05
Delivery to slot and build
We deliver exactly in the build-up window and support the crew in line with the venue rules.
-
06
Return and ATA settlement
After the event we collect the stand, arrange the return and settle the ATA carnet.
How far ahead to plan it
For the Netherlands expect dense traffic and fixed entry windows at venues such as RAI Amsterdam. We set the booking slot well ahead.
