For carriers

For carriers: regular cooperation instead of a freight exchange

OTSL does not buy loads on freight exchanges and does not look for the cheapest truck for today. We work with a fixed pool of hauliers who have passed verification and receive jobs from the forwarder in charge, with booking-in, ferry booking and customs documents prepared by us.

How do I start working with OTSL as a haulier?

Fill in the form at the bottom of the page with the topic "Haulier cooperation": base, fleet, lanes, OCP. A forwarder calls you back, we ask for the set of documents (Community licence, OCP, certified copies), and the first job goes out with full support on our side: booking-in, ferry, customs documents.

How the cooperation works

  • Jobs from one forwarder in charge: you know the person you are talking to.
  • OTSL supplies the booking-in data and the GMR; for England the office books the ferry.
  • Communication through fixed channels, job documentation archived on our side.
  • No bidding: the rate is agreed per job, not on an exchange.

Payment terms and the other conditions are set out in the cooperation agreement; we agree them individually before the first job.

Why we do not buy loads on freight exchanges

Fleet we are always looking for

  • 12 t and 18 t rigids with a tail lift.
  • Reefers (trailers and rigids).
  • Mega trailers.
  • Vans up to 3.5 t.
  • Curtainsider trailers for the United Kingdom.

Requirements

  • Community licence with a certified copy for every vehicle.
  • Carrier liability insurance (OCP) with a sum adequate to the goods carried; the minimum sum is agreed individually when the agreement is signed.
  • Compliant tachograph, drivers' working time under control.
  • Knowledge of the Mobility Package: driver return, cooling-off period after cabotage.
  • Vehicle and driver as per the job when the truck arrives, no swaps without agreement.
  • No undeclared subcontracting of runs.

Our partners: two profiles

This is what regular cooperation looks like in practice. We do not name the companies: that is their decision, not our advertising.

Partner haulier from the Kwidzyn area (82-500)

18-pallet rigids with a 1.5 t tail lift: deliveries without a loading bay across Europe, trade fairs, palletised loads where a semi-trailer cannot get in or there is nobody to unload.

Partner haulier from the Chełmno area (86-200)

Regular runs to Sweden. The crossing is chosen for the load: Świnoujście–Ystad or Trelleborg, Gdynia–Karlskrona or the Öresund Bridge. Type and frequency of runs are agreed individually per job.

Transport to Sweden: ferry, bridge, FTL and groupage
Want to give one of them a load? Contact goes through OTSL: we are responsible for the job.

How we verify

Before the first job we check the Community licence and certified copies, the OCP policy (sum, scope, exclusions), the company's registration data and whether the vehicle matches the declared fleet. The same verification stands behind the service we offer shippers: verified carriers.

Frequently asked questions

Do you give out loads from an exchange?
No. We do not buy loads on freight exchanges. Jobs come from our customers and go to hauliers from the fixed pool.
What OCP sum do you require?
One adequate to the goods carried. The minimum sum and the scope of the policy are agreed individually in conversation, before the agreement is signed.
Do you subcontract runs to England?
Yes. The OTSL office prepares the GMR in GVMS and the ferry booking; the driver is responsible for the trailer check before the port, the seals and the full set of documents on board.
Can I subcontract a run further?
Not without our consent. Vehicle and driver must match the job; subcontracting without agreement ends the cooperation.
