UK returns address & returns handling (ReturnHub) is an OTSL service for e-commerce sellers who ship to the United Kingdom but have no warehouse there. Your customer sends the parcel to our UK address in Milton Keynes; we receive it, scan it, inspect it and carry out your decision: reship within the UK, repack, consolidate back to Poland with customs clearance, or documented disposal.
What it covers
- A UK returns address for your customers and marketplaces; the OTSL warehouse in Milton Keynes runs 24/7
- Receipt of single courier parcels and full pallets, each assigned to the right seller
- A scan of every shipment on arrival and a photo inspection report, usually within 1-2 working days
- Reshipping saleable goods to the next customer inside the UK
- Repacking and a fresh label when the packaging is damaged but the product is sound
- Consolidation of returns and groupage transport back to Poland with full customs clearance on both sides
- Documented disposal of goods that cannot be sold again
- Food-safe handling for food products, kept apart from unrelated cargo
How we do it
At the start we agree a decision rule for your returns. The rule can be simple, for example we consolidate everything once a month, or conditional, where goods above an agreed value go back to sale while the rest wait for the next groupage load. You set the threshold, we enforce it.
Every parcel is scanned on arrival and assigned to your account. After inspection you receive a photo report by e-mail and decide which path to trigger: reship in the UK, repack with a new label, consolidate to Poland, or dispose. We do not decide for you; we deliver the facts and carry out the agreed path.
The return to Poland travels on our regular transport between the United Kingdom and Poland, cleared by our own customs agencies on both sides. That means a consolidated return needs no third contractor and no separate customs broker.
Limits of the service (what it does NOT cover / what to know)
ReturnHub is reverse logistics, not customer service or accounting. We do not reclaim your VAT or issue refunds to the buyer, and we do not run complaint correspondence with consumers. We do not repair damaged goods; we can only repack them or document them for disposal. Importing returns into Poland is subject to customs rules (including the Union Customs Code UCC and gov.uk procedures on the British side), so some goods may need a proof of origin or declaration that we prepare together. If you set no decision rule and let returns pile up, you lose twice: you pay for storage while the goods lose value every week, until they become a disposal cost instead of resale revenue.
