Transport risks and consequences

The part other forwarders prefer not to mention at quotation. We collect the real risks in the supply chain and show what they cost and how to prevent them, before they surprise you on your own cargo.

Why does a forwarder write about risks and penalties?

Because most transport losses come not from accidents but from processes: a missing document, a bad weight distribution, a late claim, an unverified carrier. Our mission is to inform and prevent, not to sell the illusion that nothing goes wrong. This hub gathers those risks and links to specific guides.

Every risk below has a cheap preventive and its own guide. Click the topic that applies to your cargo.

Frequently asked questions

Are these articles meant to scare clients?
No. They are meant to inform and prevent. We describe situations that really happen in transport, so none of them meets you for the first time on your own cargo. With each one we show a cheap way to avoid it.
Who usually pays for a mistake in the supply chain?
Usually the party responsible for that stage: the loader for stowage, the importer for documents, the carrier for the vehicle. In practice the dispute over fault lasts longer than the stop itself, so preventing is cheaper than assigning blame afterwards.
Does OTSL help once the problem has already happened?
Yes. We run inspections, cargo recovery, CMR claims and take-overs of goods stuck en route. The sooner you call, the more can be recovered, because some deadlines cannot be reinstated.
Where do I start to reduce risk?
With a complete document set before departure, a vetted carrier and insurance matched to the value of the goods. The rest, meaning slots, bookings and inspections, we take on as one coordinator for the whole process.
