Exhibition logistics at ExCeL London, how we deliver stands

Delivery of stand builds and goods to ExCeL London (E16 1XL): time slots, post-Brexit customs, a UK warehouse buffer.

We deliver stand builds and goods to fairs at ExCeL London around the venue time slots, with post-Brexit customs and a buffer in our UK warehouse. ExCeL sits at One Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London E16 1XL. We plan delivery to the hour and handle the return after the event.

How we handle ExCeL

  • Delivery around the venue time slots and bookings.
  • Post-Brexit customs and a GMR for the crossing.
  • A buffer in our Milton Keynes warehouse, with final delivery by a smaller vehicle to a specific day and hour.
  • Post-show logistics: collecting the build and the return, with an ATA carnet where needed.

We run the whole thing from collection to return. See exhibition logistics and our UK warehousing, or write through the contact form.

Frequently asked questions

Does delivering a stand to a London trade fair require customs clearance after Brexit?
Yes. Stand fittings and goods travelling from the EU to a trade fair in the United Kingdom go through customs clearance, and a GMR number is needed for the crossing. If the exhibits and fittings return unchanged after the fair, an ATA Carnet does the job. We handle the paperwork together with the transport, so the stand does not get stuck at the border before the build-up.
Why hold goods in a buffer warehouse before delivery to ExCeL London?
ExCeL takes deliveries against time windows and booked slots, so a truck from Poland would have to hit an exact hour after a long route and a sea crossing. It is safer to place the goods in our Milton Keynes warehouse beforehand and bring them in with a smaller vehicle exactly on the appointed day and hour. A delay on the road then no longer threatens the build-up deadline.
What happens to the stand once the fair is over?
We also run the post-show logistics: we collect the stand fittings and exhibits from the venue and organise the return journey, with an ATA Carnet where needed, so the goods come back to the EU without duty. Breakdown at venues often runs to tight time windows, so we plan the collection as precisely as the delivery, within one job from pick-up to return.
