Construction site deliveries

Building materials to site, with crane unloading.

Construction site deliveries at OTSL mean transporting building materials straight to site, in step with the crews schedule. We manage notifications and time windows, organise unloading where there is no ramp, including trucks with a mounted crane, and plan deliveries so fitters never wait for material and material never clutters the site.

Truck-mounted crane (loader crane, in Poland known as HDS) is a crane fitted on a lorry. It unloads materials where there is no ramp and no forklift.

What we carry

  • Building materials on pallets and in bundles
  • Steel structures and prefabricated elements
  • Long loads and non-standard pieces, with the right vehicle selected

Unloading without a ramp

A construction site rarely has a ramp. We match the vehicle to the place: a truck-mounted crane, a tail lift or a vehicle prepared for unloading with the contractor own equipment. Before arrival we check the access road, the ground and the space for the crane outriggers, so the truck does not block the site longer than necessary.

Deliveries to the crew schedule

The biggest cost on site is a waiting crew. That is why we agree time windows with the site manager, notify the vehicle in advance and confirm the delivery beforehand, and for staged assembly we split deliveries into batches following the order of works.

Delivery on the hour

When assembly is planned for a specific hour, for example the site tower crane only works in a set window, we run the delivery like an express job: with a time buffer on the route and the vehicle position confirmed as it goes.

Frequently asked questions

What is a truck-mounted crane and why is it used for site deliveries?
A truck-mounted crane (HDS) is a hydraulic crane fitted on a lorry. It lets you unload materials where there is no ramp or forklift, so typically on a construction site. Thanks to it the vehicle unloads the cargo itself, which is why we choose it wherever the site has no own unloading equipment.
How do you organise unloading on a site without a ramp?
A site rarely has a ramp, so we match the vehicle to the place: a truck-mounted crane, a tail lift or a vehicle prepared for unloading with the contractor equipment. Before arrival we check the access, the ground and the space for the crane outriggers, so the vehicle does not block the site longer than necessary and the unloading is safe.
Do you adapt deliveries to the crews schedule?
Yes. The biggest cost on a site is a waiting crew, so we set time windows with the site manager, book the vehicle and confirm the delivery in advance. For staged assembly we split deliveries into batches according to the order of works, so material reaches the site when it is needed and does not pile up.
Can you deliver material for a specific assembly hour?
Yes. When assembly is planned for a specific hour, for example when the site crane works only in a set window, we run the delivery like an express transport: with a time buffer on the route and ongoing confirmation of the vehicle position. This way the material is on site when the crew and the equipment are ready to work.
