Poland is the operating base of OTSL and the starting point of every international route we run. We collect and deliver across the whole country, consolidate cargo at our warehouses in Kielce and Legnica, and send it out on regular routes to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Norway and the EU single market. If you buy from Polish suppliers, you get the whole Polish side of the job from us: supplier contact, collection, paperwork and delivery, with one English-speaking point of contact and no need for a local office.
Two bases: Kielce and Legnica
- Kielce: head office at ul. Batalionów Chłopskich 71 and a transshipment warehouse with 24/7 access, located next to the Targi Kielce fairground. Cross-docking, pallet transshipment, deconsolidation, short-term storage and trade fair logistics in one place.
- Legnica: a base in western Poland on the A4 motorway corridor. Repacking, palletising and picking before loads leave for the EU and the UK; a natural consolidation point for goods from Germany and Czechia.
The third OTSL warehouse operates in Milton Keynes in the UK and closes the Poland-UK route on the British side: goods-in, repacking and returns handling without involving the consignee. All sites are described on the OTSL warehouses page.
Collections across Poland
We plan the domestic leg as carefully as the international one, because it is usually the leg that decides whether the deadline holds: a missed factory collection means a lost ferry slot or a missed delivery booking, and those windows do not wait for the truck. We move full loads (FTL), part loads (LTL) and groupage, with booking-in matched to the consignee and documents prepared for the onward leg: a CMR consignment note under the CMR Convention for international carriage, domestic paperwork under Polish transport law for the national leg.
Consolidation: full trucks instead of single pallets
For an importer buying from several Polish producers, scattered suppliers are the main cost: three separate transports, three dates, three sets of paperwork and three chances for a delay. We collect from across the country into Kielce or Legnica and ship on one vehicle, with one set of documents and one contact. Where the routes go
From the Polish bases cargo enters the whole OTSL European network: west to Germany, the Benelux and the UK, south to Italy and Spain, north by ferry to Scandinavia. On routes outside the EU, to the UK, Switzerland and Norway, we run the transport together with clearance through our own customs agencies, so the border is part of the plan, not a surprise: customs clearance.
